My Profile Summary

I am a motivated and adaptable new graduate physiotherapist from the University of East Anglia with diverse clinical placement experience across musculoskeletal, orthopaedics, neurology, acute medicine, community rehabilitation, and critical care. Through this training, I have developed a strong foundation in patient assessment, treatment planning, manual handling, and multidisciplinary collaboration, preparing me to provide safe, effective, and patient-centred care.
My placements have given me exposure to a wide range of patients and clinical presentations. In musculoskeletal and orthopaedics, I assessed and treated both acute and chronic conditions, applying manual therapy and exercise-based rehabilitation programmes to restore function and mobility. In neurology and community rehabilitation, I worked with patients recovering from stroke, Parkinson’s disease, and multiple sclerosis, focusing on goal setting, functional training, and long-term recovery strategies. Acute medicine placements enabled me to support patients with complex comorbidities and frailty, where I contributed to safe discharge planning and falls prevention. In intensive care, I gained valuable experience in respiratory physiotherapy, including oxygen therapy and airway clearance, while learning to remain calm and effective in high-pressure environments. These varied experiences have strengthened my adaptability, clinical reasoning, and commitment to holistic care.
Alongside my degree, I have worked as a sports massage therapist and sales assistant at Runners World Ltd, where I provided gait analysis and tailored massage treatments. This role enhanced my manual skills and ability to communicate clinical concepts clearly to people from different backgrounds. Earlier work in hospitality further developed my time management, problem-solving, and ability to remain professional in fast-paced settings, skills that transfer directly into clinical practice.
My technical skills include assessment, rehabilitation planning, soft tissue therapy, respiratory care, manual handling, and accurate record keeping. Just as important are my interpersonal qualities: empathy, communication, teamwork, and professionalism. I have also held leadership and advocacy roles, including serving as Cross-Country Club Captain and Equality and Diversity Officer for the UEA Physiotherapy Society, which reflect my ability to motivate others, build inclusive environments, and lead by example.
I am committed to continuous professional development and dedicated to delivering evidence-based, compassionate care that respects the dignity of every patient. My academic background, clinical placements, employment experience, and personal values together make me a resilient and enthusiastic physiotherapist, eager to contribute meaningfully to both patients and the wider healthcare team.
