I am a motivated and compassionate Physiotherapist with a BSc (Hons) in Physiotherapy from the University of Worcester and registration with the Health and Care Professions Council (HCPC). My clinical experience spans a range of settings, including stroke rehabilitation, community physiotherapy, and learning disability services, where I developed a strong foundation in delivering evidence-based, patient-centred care.
Throughout my degree, I demonstrated a strong commitment to professional development and excellence in clinical practice. My dedication was formally recognised when I received the Recognising Excellence Award for outstanding performance on a stroke rehabilitation ward. In this placement, I worked as part of a dynamic multidisciplinary team to provide holistic, goal-oriented rehabilitation for patients recovering from neurological events. I honed my skills in comprehensive assessment, treatment planning, and the use of therapeutic interventions to promote mobility, independence, and quality of life.
My approach to physiotherapy is rooted in empathy, communication, and collaboration. I value the importance of building trusting therapeutic relationships with patients and their families, ensuring that care plans are tailored to individual needs and preferences. Working across diverse clinical environments has strengthened my interpersonal and teamwork abilities, allowing me to contribute effectively to multidisciplinary discussions and shared decision-making.
I have developed strong clinical reasoning, risk assessment, and reflective practice skills, and I am confident using both analytical and creative problem-solving to optimise patient outcomes. My training has provided me with practical competence in physiotherapy techniques, exercise prescription, and the safe use of mobility aids and equipment. I am also proficient in maintaining accurate and timely electronic patient records and confident in using digital platforms for communication and research.
In addition to my clinical expertise, I have a solid understanding of clinical governance, quality improvement, and professional standards set by the HCPC and CSP. I am passionate about contributing to continuous service improvement through reflection, evidence-based practice, and participation in audit and research.
As a newly qualified physiotherapist, I bring enthusiasm, adaptability, and a genuine desire to support patients in achieving meaningful recovery and long-term wellbeing. I am eager to continue developing my clinical expertise while making a positive contribution to the values and goals of my future physiotherapy team.
