My Profile Summary
Please contact me for an up-to-date copy of my resume:
I am a newly qualified Physiotherapist with a strong background in sports rehabilitation, exercise rehabilitation and strength and conditioning. I hold a BSc (Hons) in Sport Rehabilitation and have recently completed an MSc in Physiotherapy (Pre-Registration) at London South Bank University. I am currently progressing towards HCPC registration.
My professional interests are primarily in **musculoskeletal physiotherapy, orthopaedics, trauma, sports rehabilitation and exercise-based rehabilitation**, and I am particularly motivated to develop into a highly skilled MSK clinician while continuing to broaden my experience across different areas of physiotherapy.
During my physiotherapy training, I gained experience across a variety of NHS clinical environments. My placements included **thoracic surgery at St Bartholomew’s Hospital**, where I supported post-operative patients with respiratory physiotherapy, early mobilisation and functional recovery; **Emergency Therapy at Whipps Cross Hospital**, working across emergency and acute medical environments with patients presenting with falls, frailty, mobility deterioration and complex medical conditions; and a **community learning disability service**, where I worked with adults with conditions including cerebral palsy, Down syndrome, Rett syndrome and autism, contributing to mobility, posture, positioning, equipment and functional rehabilitation programmes.
These placements developed my ability to undertake subjective and objective assessments, identify functional limitations, establish patient-centred goals, contribute to treatment planning and communicate effectively within multidisciplinary teams. I have also developed experience with mobility assessment, gait and balance assessment, rehabilitation exercise, respiratory assessment, manual handling, assistive equipment and patient/carer education.
My previous **Sport Rehabilitation degree** provides an additional foundation in musculoskeletal assessment, injury rehabilitation, exercise prescription, sports massage and return-to-sport rehabilitation. I also hold qualifications in **Personal Training and Strength & Conditioning**, allowing me to integrate clinical rehabilitation with progressive strength, conditioning and performance principles.
My practical experience includes musculoskeletal assessment, postural and movement analysis, exercise rehabilitation, joint mobilisation, soft tissue techniques, sports massage, taping, PNF, trigger-point techniques and progressive strengthening. I am particularly interested in developing my knowledge of differential diagnosis, orthopaedics, sports injuries and diagnostic musculoskeletal ultrasound as my career progresses.
Before entering healthcare, I also competed as a professional football player in Italy. This experience has given me a strong understanding of sporting environments, athlete expectations, injury rehabilitation and the physical and psychological demands involved in returning to performance.
Alongside my clinical background, I have extensive experience working directly with clients and members of the public. I am comfortable communicating with people from different backgrounds, adapting my communication to individual needs and creating positive therapeutic relationships. I speak both **English and Italian**.
I am looking for a position where I can contribute enthusiastically to patient care while continuing to develop clinically within a supportive team. I am particularly interested in opportunities involving **MSK, orthopaedics, trauma, rehabilitation, sports medicine or rotational physiotherapy**, although I am open to positions that will provide strong clinical exposure and professional development.
My long-term goal is to become an advanced MSK practitioner with expertise in musculoskeletal assessment, rehabilitation and diagnostic ultrasound. At this stage of my career, however, my priority is to build an excellent clinical foundation, learn fro
