MLACP: THE ROLE OF THE EXPERT WITNESS AFTER THE REPORT…. WHAT’S NEXT?
Medico Legal Association of Chartered Physiotherapists
This Course will be of interest to any level of physiotherapist who is involved in Medico-Legal work and will take participants through the legal process which follows the completion of the report. Each participant will be provided with a report (Causation & Liability Case/Breach of Duty - MSK) in advance of the course, which needs to be read and understood prior to the day. There will be a large interactive component with emphasis on delegate participation throughout the day, based around the content of the report. Case conferences, joint statements and preparation for Court will be included. There will be a mock Case Conference and Courtroom trial with cross examination by Barristers. It would be an advantage, but is not essential, for you to have attended an Introductory Course with the MLACP or another recognised body. The learning outcomes will also be relevant for those completing quantum reports, working with neurological cases, or just starting work as an expert witness. Venue: Irwin Mitchell Solicitors, One St Peter's Square, Manchester M2 3AF Course Leader: Colette Ingham Cost: £80 - MLACP Members £130 – Non MLACP Members
