This 1-day, face-to-face workshop in London, followed by two online skills-consolidation sessions, is designed exclusively for qualified UK physiotherapists who want to strengthen their ability to support meaningful, sustainable behaviour change in clinical practice. He integrates over two decades of physiotherapy and clinical education experience into his MI training, specialising in behaviour change communication across primary care and long-term condition rehabilitation settings. Since joining MINT in 2017, Chris has delivered workshops for Hospital staff, Primary Care Organisations, Universities, and Private Practices. His training style emphasises authenticity, compassion, and practical skill-building - helping physiotherapists strengthen engagement and support behaviour change through collaborative, person-centred conversations. Dr Maddy Nicholson (PhD, MSc, BSc (Hons), PGCert FHEA, MCSP) is a Physiotherapist and Principal Lecturer (Nursing & Allied Health) working with Physiotherapy and Allied Health students across their Undergraduate and Postgraduate journeys in the UK. Commencing her MI journey in 2014, she completed MI training while working as a Clinical Specialist Physiotherapist in Persistent Pain Management (2012-2019). Since then, she has led MI training within Physiotherapy, Nutrition and Dietetics, Sports rehabilitation, Substance misuse, Psychology and Nursing. In 2025, Maddy completed a PhD on the implementation of MI in physiotherapy for patients with musculoskeletal conditions. Maddy is a member of MINT and the MINT UK and Ireland Committee.
