In this training, Dr Patrick Vallance PhD draws upon his own cutting-edge tendinopathy neuroscience research, as well as experience contributing to clinical trials alongside world renowned tendinopathy experts, to deliver practical, modernised education to help clinicians better assess and manage persistent lower limb tendinopathy conditions. Ultimately, this course will help you bridge modern neuroscience with tendinopathy rehabilitation. Across three hours of evidence-based content, I cover: Module 1 – Tendinopathy: State of Play An overview of the latest evidence surrounding lower limb tendinopathy, including pain mechanisms, functional impairments, structural changes and psychological factors. Module 2 – Neurophysiological Mechanisms in Tendinopathy Drawing on my own research and that of leading researchers, we explore the neurophysiological mechanisms underpinning pain and disability in tendinopathy and how these findings can influence rehabilitation. Module 3 – Practical Assessment & Rehabilitation Framework A practical framework for assessment and management, including worthwhile rehabilitation targets, clinical decision-making and strategies to better individualise rehabilitation and improve patient outcomes.
