My Profile Summary - Please contact me for an up-to-date copy of my resume:
I am a qualified HCPC and CSP registered physiotherapist with over 10 year’s experience in MSK settings. I have recently worked in a private setting, treating corporate clients with acute and chronic MSK conditions.
I have also worked within a private clinic where injuries ranged from sports injuries and post-surgical intervention to injuries sustained in road traffic accidents, where many of the patients had co-morbidities. I was required to complete initial assessments and discharge reports accurately for insurance companies and solicitors in a timely manner, and occasionally write medico-legal reports in conjunction with the clinic MSK physician. In addition to this, I led Pilates sessions to people of all ages with a variety of conditions. Prior to a patient participating in the class, I conducted assessments to evaluate their ability, teach the key principles and discuss their goals. On a monthly basis, I assisted in composing newsletters to be sent to local GPs, raising awareness of physiotherapy to the local community. I also visited local GPs to discuss the services we provide at the clinic; and I helped with writing articles for the company website on treatment of different MSK conditions.
Since 2007, I have been working within American Football and Basketball, providing musculoskeletal assessments for a variety of acute sports related injuries, and treatments such as pre and post event sports massage, strapping & taping and sports specific rehab both individually and within group settings. I am the lead therapist for the GB Natinal Program in American Football
I feel that I am a very organised person which is essential in any environment. I am also able to multi-task, as within stressful situations, I have remained calm and have been able to provide an effective service. I feel that this post would suit me as I am passionate about physiotherapy, a quick learner and have experience working with patients and clients in different musculoskeletal settings, but would also appreciate the opportunity to develop new skills.
