Band 6 Paediatric Physiotherapist – Hydrotherapy Part Time (3 days per week, term-time only) | Permanent Are you an enthusiastic and committed Physiotherapist with a passion for supporting children and young people with severe and complex learning needs? We are a vibrant, welcoming and happy specialist school catering for children and young people aged 3–19 with severe and complex learning needs. We are seeking a motivated Band 6 Paediatric Physiotherapist (Hydrotherapy) to join our dedicated multidisciplinary therapy team. About Our Pupils Our pupils present with a range of complex needs, including: Profound and Multiple Learning Disabilities (PMLD) Autistic Spectrum Condition (ASC) Cerebral Palsy Genetic and neurological conditions Physical disabilities and complex mobility needs Postural management and seating requirements Communication and sensory processing difficulties Clinical Responsibilities The successful candidate will: Deliver specialist physiotherapy and hydrotherapy programmes. Assess and manage posture, mobility and functional movement. Contribute to seating, positioning and equipment recommendations. Work closely with families, education staff and the multidisciplinary team. Contribute to EHCP assessments, target setting and annual reviews. Support pupils to maximise participation, independence and quality of life. Hydrotherapy qualification is essential. Essential Requirements Degree or equivalent qualification in Physiotherapy. Current HCPC registration. Experience working with children and young people with complex needs, including PMLD, ASC and/or physical disabilities. Experience of postural management, mobility assessment and therapeutic intervention. Enhanced DBS check (or willingness to obtain one). Excellent communication and multidisciplinary working skills. The Role You will: Deliver specialised, evidence-based Physiotherapy and Hydrotherapy interventions tailored to individual pupil needs Support children and young people with severe and complex learning difficulties Work collaboratively with education staff, therapists and families Contribute to EHCP targets, reviews and therapy planning Promote independence, functional skills and participation across the school day The Ideal Candidate Qualified and HCPC-registered Physiotherapist Paediatric Hydrotherapy qualification/training Experience working within Special Educational Needs (SEN) settings Strong understanding of evidence-based therapeutic approaches Excellent communication and teamwork skills Passionate about improving outcomes for children and young people If you are motivated, compassionate and committed to making a meaningful impact, we would love to hear from you.
