Physiotherapist, Health City East End (Wards and Outpatients) Location: Align Physiotherapy Department, Health City Cayman Islands, East End Focus: Ward based care, post operative rehabilitation, respiratory and neurological physiotherapy, and outpatient care About Align Align is a leading wellness studio in the Cayman Islands. We take an integrated approach to rehabilitation and preventative care across physiotherapy, paediatric physiotherapy, massage, chiropractic, acupuncture, occupational therapy, TMJ care and Speech Therapy. With locations in Camana Bay, Harbour Walk and Health City East End, care is easy to access across the island. At Health City you'll work on the wards and in clinic with hospital teams so patients get joined up rehab from acute and post operative care through to outpatient recovery. The role We're looking for an experienced physiotherapist for Align at Health City East End. You'll work independently on the wards and in the outpatient clinic, establishing daily patient triage and treatment. The caseload covers post operative patients, respiratory care, some neurological presentations and mixed outpatient work, including musculoskeletal and cardiac conditions. You'll treat patients on the wards after surgery and for acute respiratory needs, then progress them into outpatient rehab so they regain movement, strength, breath and confidence. You'll also treat walk in and referred outpatients needing pain management, injury rehab and preventative care. Responsibilities • Independently set daily triage and treatment priorities across ward, respiratory, post operative and outpatient caseloads • Complete evidence based assessments and personalised treatment plans • Provide ward physiotherapy including early mobilisation, post operative rehab, respiratory care and neurological treatment • Deliver respiratory care for acute and post operative patients, including airway clearance, breathing exercises, secretion management and prevention of complications • Rehabilitate patients after orthopaedic, spinal, cardiac, thoracic, neurological and general surgery • Treat a mixed outpatient caseload including MSK pain, sports injury, mobility issues, neurological presentations and chronic respiratory or cardiac conditions • Use manual therapy, exercise, education and techniques such as dry needling, taping and joint mobilisation as indicated • Communicate clearly with patients and families, and work closely with surgeons, physicians, nursing and the Align team • Plan safe discharge into outpatient follow up and home programmes • Keep accurate electronic records and stay current with best practice What we're looking for • BSc in Physiotherapy or equivalent recognised qualification • Registered, or eligible for registration, with a body accepted by the Cayman Islands Health Practice Commission: Australia, Canada, Jamaica, New Zealand, South Africa, the UK (HCPC) or the USA • Proven ward, post operative and outpatient physiotherapy experience • Must have respiratory physiotherapy skills, including acute and post operative respiratory care • Some neurological physiotherapy background, able to treat common ward and outpatient neuro presentations • Strong manual therapy, exercise prescription and patient education skills • Able to work independently and manage daily triage without close supervision • Confident with surgical, medical, nursing and multidisciplinary teams • Excellent communication skills and a commitment to patient centred care • EMR experience is an advantage, as is cardiac rehab, critical care, dry needling or sports conditioning Benefits • Competitive guaranteed salary plus commission • Medical and pension contributions • Live and work in beautiful Cayman, with beaches and the water on your doorstep If you're a passionate physiotherapist who wants to join a thriving community, send your CV and cover letter to [email protected]
