My Profile Summary
Please contact me for an up-to-date copy of my resume:
I am a highly experienced and skilled physiotherapist with a strong passion for helping people achieve rapid pain relief through a holistic, patient-centred approach. My work integrates a wide range of techniques, combining modern evidence-based practice with traditional therapeutic methods.
I am qualified in Advanced Neo-Classical Acupuncture, enabling me to treat a wide variety of conditions using highly effective, often single-needle treatments that can provide immediate relief. I am also fully certified in Clinical Pilates and have completed advanced training (Level III) with one of Europe’s leading schools in myofascial and viscerofascial therapy, the Myofascial Induction Therapy School in Madrid under Prof. Andrzej Pilat.
I specialise in visceral manipulation, TMJ dysfunction, headaches and migraines, chronic pain, vestibular rehabilitation, dizziness and balance disorders, craniosacral therapy, and Chinese/Ayurvedic acupressure (C.E.S.). My clinical work also includes elderly rehabilitation and falls prevention, spinal ergonomics, patient education, and the assessment and treatment of sports injuries and musculoskeletal/orthopaedic conditions.
My professional journey is enriched by a diverse background, including roles as a personal trainer, gym instructor, autism cognitive-behavioural therapist, primary school teacher, and therapist working with individuals with autism, Alzheimer’s, and dementia. This experience allows me to connect with patients on multiple levels and tailor care to their individual needs.
I am deeply committed to continuous learning and professional development, regularly undertaking new training each year. I also enjoy sharing my knowledge with colleagues, students, recent graduates, and patients, and I am passionate about teaching and mentoring other practitioners to enhance their clinical skills.
Beyond technical expertise, I pride myself on clear and compassionate communication. I take the time to explain conditions and treatments in a way that helps patients understand how their body functions as a whole, empowering them in their recovery.
With a strong foundation in Sport and Exercise Science, Physical Education, and athletic coaching, I guide patients towards achieving the right balance of mobility, strength, and conditioning. I integrate Clinical Pilates, as well as principles from yoga, balance training, and flexibility work, into personalised rehabilitation programmes.
I am confident in my ability to contribute significant value and would welcome the opportunity to support your patients and contribute to your organisation.
If you have any questions about my background, please feel free to contact me by email or phone.
I look forward to hearing from you.
Sincerely,
Alessio Barone
