I have an interim certificate and eligible to apply for AHPRA limited registration. I passed the written component of Australian Physiotherapy Council (APC) Exam last September 2016, Occupational English Test (OET), and waiting for my clinical assessment exam schedule. In addition, I have a Philippine driver’s license and national crime check.
I am a competent overseas licensed physiotherapist with almost five years of working experience as a stretch therapist and college instructor. With a degree in BS Physical Therapy as well as training for Dynamic Therapeutic Stretching, I am proficient in giving quality physiotherapy treatment tailored to the needs of clients/patients.
Still, in pursuit of continuing education, I am currently enrolled in Graduate Certificate in Clinical Rehabilitation at Flinders University and I earned postgraduate units in MS Physical Therapy and attended workshop and seminars to further improve my knowledge and skills. I taught for undergraduate courses and enable to share all my learnings and expertise to students in providing high-quality care on wide variety of patients.
While in Australia, I am assigned for our clinical placement at Hampstead Rehabilitation Centre and Repatriation General Hospital. I have the privilege to work with the physiotherapist staff at the Musculoskeletal, Stroke, and SCI rehabilitation department and introduced me to the healthcare system of Australia. My experience sharpened my knowledge and clinical reasoning skills in providing quality physiotherapy services in orthopaedics, neurologic, and musculoskeletal cases which include assessment, evaluation, goal settings and administering intervention and management.
