My Profile Summary - Please contact me for an up-to-date copy of my resume:
I've been working privately for the last couple of years after resigning from my University's Hospital and RehabCentre. Formation in PNF (modules 1&2). Now planning my return to UK&Europe, as a family choice and opportunity.
Back in UK, I used to work in a specialized Rehab centre for spinal cord injuries and neurological conditions. My main post there is heading the hydrotherapy department, but also with input on land Physiotherapy. The hospital has an inpatient, intensive rehab service and outpatient, as well.
I used to work as head Physiotherapist in a private practice in the London outskirts, in Kent. Responsible not only for the assessment and treatment of patients with neurological and orthopedics conditions, as administration, advertisement strategies and formulation of guidelines and protocols. Also, experience in FES and, lately working with the implementation of implantable FES program.
I had the pleasure to work and develop my experience in hydrotherapy, electrotherapy and rehab, specially within the neurology field. I'm enthusiastic to work, study and expand knowledge on the most diverse areas of knowledge in order to provide a more global and concise treatment to my clients.
After my graduation, I started working in a Rehabilitation Centre specialized in children and adults with neurological disorders, in the hydrotherapy environment. The opportunity to work with children gives great joy and that's one of the areas where I'd like to explore more, as my previous post would focus mainly in adult care.
I've been a class assistant for the disciplnes of eletrothermophototherapy for 2 years and hydrotherapy for 1 year. Intern in 2 hydrotherapy clinics for 1 year. Interested in learning and working in hydrotherapy, neurology, pediatrics and orthopaedics. Speaks English fluently and Spanish and Italian in intermediate level.
Complimentary, studied to be Yoga instructor and worked in a project coaching tennis to children in poverty zones in Brazil and classes for children in schools in London.
Before my formation in Physiotherapy, I studied Mechanical engineering for 3 years, which gave me a logical way of thinking and that it is very useful in my practice and in the search of the most effectives forms of therapy.
