Clinical Manager - Hong Kong
FAST GROWING MULTIDISCIPLINARY CLINICAL practice in central requires the services of an hark working highly motivate clinical manager.
The Clinical Manager at JD is a developing position that will undergo change as it grows. At it’s heart is the day to logistics of managing the physical and organisational needs of a busy multidisciplinary practice, which includes in-house and offsite organisation. Additionally to this the management of clinical staff is a key component of the job that is rewarding as it allows the candidate to forge a solid cohesive team. The CM reports directly to the CEO (Clinical Director) and is accountable to them, but also will interact heavily with the other directorship. While these are the core competency requirements, additional scope of business development can be pursued that will carry with it director resources support, but also variably negotiated remuneration based on net gain to JD.
Clinical staff: physiotherapists, chiropractors, body workers and rehabilitation team Clinical services: therapy, rehabilitation and performance testing
Patient Care Manage a truncated/part time patient care load
Clinic Management Ensure and relay to Directors regular room maintenance, cleanliness, tidiness, equipment maintenance etc. Keep stock of and order through administration any needed supplies. Manage and oversee the ordering of clinical supplies. Set up order template with administrative staff. Oversee Health Professions Council registration.
Staff Management Place time aside and be available for staff for clinical questions or case study assistance. Assign team members tasks and follow up. Oversee staff leave and working hours. Motivate and discuss with team ways of creating and encouraging own business. Be the representative for staff and directors regarding staff queries and concerns etc. Organize and support clinical staff at JD sporting events. Organize and delegate staff tutorials. CPD maintenance and course attendance (budget depending). Promote cross discipline and improved work environment between physiotherapists, massage, stretch and personal trainers. Interview potential staff members. Responsible for staff reviews. New starter induction programme to ease the load on the administrative department.
Quality Control Ensure standards are met regarding clinical sessions. Discuss with staff - patient follow ups, letters to doctors, amount of appointments, referrals etc. Handle any telephonic/email related queries/complaints. Use MINDBODY analytics to determine staff performance etc...
Director Reporting Prepare for weekly meeting with Clinical Director. Prepare for weekly team meeting. Meet regularly with the directors to help develop the clinical services at JD. Business Building Identify areas of development for the clinic services Forging relationships with referral points: doctors and surgeons
10+ years of work experience
Bachelor of Science in Physiotherapy
Highly regarded with other qualifications of a Masters Degree in Sports Physiotherapy/Certificate or Masters Degree in manual and or manipulative therapy
Experience in managing and developing sports screening protocols
Position is 5.5 days per week, clinic hours are from 9:00am until 7:00pm from M-F and 9:00am until 6:00pm on Saturday. Position is expected to be available after consultation hours and Sundays for work at sporting and other events.
Annual leave, sick leave as per the Hong Kong Employment Ordinance - unpaid study leave is available for approved coursework. Generous remuneration dependant on applicants experience.
