I am a dedicated and a passionate sports and biomechanics speciality physiotherapist. I am constantly striving to grow and upgrade my knowledge and hands-on skills to diagnose and rehabilitate movement dysfunction in athletes and other MSK conditions. I believe in the "health for all" motto and hence proactive in targeting new methods to approach various communities to increase awareness about holistic health, improvise fitness and preventing injuries.
I am currently practicing in an out-patient MSK clinic with AnnPhysiocare Ltd. My daily job involves me assessing and treating MSK conditions majorly dealing with road-traffic accidents and whiplash injuries. I am skilled at administering various MSK special tests and manual mobilizations like Maitland`s and Mulligan`s for treating joint dysfunctions. I have also been using internet, MS office for documenting and record-keeping. A part of my job profile requires me to do occasional work supervision and mentoring of new staff. I follow strict practice guidelines laid by the HCPC and CSP and keep and up-to-date CPD portfolio.
I also have special interest in building up clientele and help my admin team to market our physiotherapy services from time to time.
I have completed dual degree post-graduation from Robert Gordon University and Manipal University and have specialized in Sports and clinical biomechanics. I have not only secured first position in both semesters of PG, but also have experience in using various high-tech sports rehabilitation equipment like VICON Nexus, bodybuilder, polygon, Quintic systems, isokinetic machine, electromyography and force plates to train athletes.
My core skills include giving objectivity to the functional diagnosis which can enable me to punctually record my assessments and track prognosis. This also enables me to process my data and analyse it which I can use for planning my further studies.
