Paediatric Physiotherapist - Bank Location – Cromwell Hospital, Kensington, SW5 0TU £26.55 per hour Working hours - Monday to Friday - Full-time, part-time and flexible working requests considered Band 6 or Band 7 equivalent with proven paediatric experience in neurology and neurodevelopmental conditions and/or orthopaedic and MSK conditions Here you’ll be welcomed. About the service: - Mainly for Outpatients with neurological / developmental or Orthopaedic conditions. - Inpatients’ conditions include pre- and post orthopaedic surgery. - As a Bank Physiotherapist, you will ensure a high standard of service within the Paediatric Physiotherapy Service, which will include a varied caseload in terms of patient age and condition. You will provide expert intervention demonstrating clinical effectiveness by use of evidence-based practice and outcome measures (e.g., Bayley III, Movement ABC-2), whilst adapting practice to meet individual circumstance and context. What you’ll do: - To participate in discharge planning and liaise with external agencies to ensure a discharge that is safe and supportive of the patient’s ongoing care and rehabilitation needs. - Comply with confidentiality policies as set out by Bupa, CH, HCPC and the CSP. - Respect a patient’s right to be chaperoned and appropriately implement the Hospital chaperone policy - Maintain accurate, comprehensive, and timely patient treatment records and reports in line with local and national requirements for best management of the patient. - Manage clinical risk within your caseload at all times and ensure potential clinical risk is effectively communicated and managed. - To promote dignity, privacy, and safety always, with consideration of the patient’s cultural, spiritual, and personal needs and preferences. - Be aware of the limitations of your own clinical practice/experience and seek support appropriately. - Be responsible for the ethical, safe, and competent recommendation and provision of therapy equipment within your scope. - To keep abreast of the latest evidence within your specialty to maintain best clinical practise. - Participate actively in the departmental in-service training programmes and opportunities within the Hospital. - Share your knowledge, skills, and experience and to work collaboratively with your colleagues What you’ll bring: - Degree in Physiotherapy. - HCPC Registration. - Enhanced DBS clearance. - Proven experience in neurodevelopment and neurology and/or paediatric MSK and orthopaedics Knowledge of paediatric outcome measures and standardised assessments. - Knowledge of specialist equipment appropriate to paediatric physiotherapy.
