JOB TITLE: Band 6/7 Physiotherapist
RESPONSIBLE TO: Tracey Miles, Extended Scope Physiotherapist
RESPONSIBLE FOR: Physiotherapy services including MSK, Pelvic Health, Pilates, Clinical Audit
SALARY: Band 6/7
LOCATION: Overland Farm Clinic
HOURS OF WORK: working towards 37.5 hours per week 2677 (time period negotiable)
CONTRACT: Standard 3 months' notice

JOB PURPOSE:
Undertake assessment, clinical diagnosis, and treatment of a broad range of MSK and Pelvic Health patients, providing an effective high-quality service to enable them to be the best they can be
Support continuous improvement at the clinic, undertaking evidence-based projects, monitoring standards of practice and recommending changes in practice
Use professional and clinical leadership in the development and implementation of personal development for all team members.
SPECIFIC DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
CLINICAL RESPONSIBILITIES
Complete audit program, applyng relevant findings to practice (DFI)
Deliver Pelvic Health Physiotherapy, MOT for Mum’s and Pilates 1:1 as required
Work autonomously with regard to assessment, diagnosis and subsequent intervention on clinical cases, for patients with continence and associated musculoskeletal conditions, demonstrating advanced clinical reasoning skills.
Take responsibility for own clinical standards ensuring the appropriate use of outcome measures and evidence-based practice.
Ensuring confidentiality at all times and ensuring sensitivity to the audience’s level of understanding and prior knowledge.
To be responsible for keeping accurate and timely written and electronic patient records and statistical information, adhering to standards set by Overland Farm Clinic and the professional body.
Provide specialist advice and liaison with the multidisciplinary team (MDT), including consultants, GPs, physiotherapists, nurses and other agencies as appropriate to ensure a coordinated approach to patient care.
Provide advice, education, and treatment with empathy to patients with complex and sensitive problems. Use appropriate communication skills to overcome significant barriers to acceptance, respecting privacy and confidentiality.
Prepare discharge letters for the referrer and/or general practitioner (GP) following episodes of treatment.
Prepare letters and/or reports prior to clinic appointments where specific information is requested.
Actively participate in the appraisal system
PRACTICE SERVICE DEVELOPMENT
Participate in the planning of long-term strategic plans to develop Overland Farm Clinic.
Identify opportunities to develop services within available resources and implement.
To be involved in the recruitment and induction of new staff as requested by the clinic manager
Actively participate in team-working amongst staff and with other relevant colleagues
Work to agreed goals for measurable qualitative and quantitative improvements to the service.
To participate in the development and integration of policies and protocols for Overland Farm Clinic
