Mō te tūranga - About the role Health New Zealand - Te Whatu Ora Southern is excited to support this travelling rotation Physiotherapist opportunity. This newly developed fixed-term opportunity comprises of six monthly rotations across the following locations within Te Waipounamu (South Island); Invercargill, Blenheim, Ashburton and Timaru. In this position you will be across a range of settings including acute inpatient, rehabilitation and/or community dependant of the service and location needs with a focus on physiotherapy assessment and intervention. This role requires the ability to work effectively and autonomously in a fast-paced environment with the ability to respond to the need of the service. Please note this role will require you to participate in weekend and on-call rosters. There are accommodation support options available, however these options vary between locations. View position description Mōu ake - About you Alongside your clinical expertise, our ideal candidate will also be an excellent communicator with a high level of interpersonal skills. To be successful in this role, you will also need to demonstrate the following: A minimum of four years clinical experience It is essential that you are registered with the Physiotherapy Board of New Zealand and hold a current annual practicing certificate Understanding of, and commitment to, the specific relationship under Te Tiriti o Waitangi, and Te Whatu Ora role in improving outcomes for iwi and Māori communities Confidence with te ao Māori, tikanga, and te reo Māori or a commitment to starting your journey and taking ownership of your learning and growth Tertiary/inpatient experience and significant experience in cardiorespiratory and critical care settings. would be an advantage Proven leadership skills within physiotherapy and interprofessional settings is desirable You will need to be adaptable and flexible allowing you to work effectively with your clients and within a changing health environment.
