Are you a dynamic, enthusiastic physiotherapist looking for a great practice culture, work life balance and ongoing learning?
Wellness Embodied is a boutique physiotherapy practice located on 53 Sheridan Street, Cairns. We have a small Clinical Pilates and rehab gym and stock a range of rehab products. We strongly believe in relationship building and have strong referral links with excellent practitioners in the Cairns area. We see the usual variety of private practice clients, however our areas of special clinical interest include:
NDIS- adult and young adult neurological conditions
Whiplash/ Migraine/ Headache/ Post Concussion Syndrome/ TMJ issues.
Vestibular Rehab for vertigo, motion sickness and balance issues.
We are innovative, running Telehealth/ Remote Consults, adopting an integrative approach to treatment and planning to conduct more outreach work out of Cairns. The right candidate will have the opportunity to grow and develop their own area of Clinical Expertise, with a $2000 CPD budget, weekly in-service training and personal/ professional development coaching from Practice Principal Suzanne Rath. Suzanne has an MSc in Sport and Exercise Medicine and 14 years of clinical experience, across areas which include national sports teams, hospital, community and private practice. For the past number of years she has had a significant clinical interest in treating difficult to manage conditions including chronic pain, migraines, post-concussion syndrome and referred pains. Her approach is integrative and holistic- treating the whole person, rather than just a body part and referring to other practitioners for full care as necessary. She utilises a number of clinical tools as part of her treatments, including Watson headache technique, DMA Clinical Pilates and Upledger Craniosacral Therapy.
We are a social team and live by our values, assisting each other to get the best possible outcomes for our patients. We have a quarterly staff planning session and regular get togethers.
As our next amazing physio, you will use our guidance and training to assist with your already developed skills in the following:
Be a people person-Our patients trust us to lead them throughout the rehab pathway- from pain or injury to full return to normal activities. We focus on retaining and providing the best service we can to the clients we have, rather than constantly chasing new clients- the end result of this is that our clients trust us and are loyal to the practice.
Be Proactive- Our staff work to build relationships with referrers and potential referrers, as well as communicating with our clients using Social Media, newsletters and via email- we are always looking for the best outcome for them, which makes our jobs more satisfying.
Have clear learning goals and knowledge of your strongest and weakest Clinical Areas. A commitment to professional and personal development is one of our key values.
We will accept applications from new graduates or those on limited registration in Australia, whose attitude fits within our culture.
Flexible hours. Do you want to be able to take more leave? The ability to earn more money? Travel to remote communities? The opportunity to develop your own area of expertise? Would you prefer to work on commission or full salary? These are completely negotiable- a salary guide for this position varies between $65,000 - $90,000 per year, but your performance will dictate your worth (ie your client numbers and ability to retain and provide the service we are known for).
