Clinical Manual Therapy with Osteopathy Techniques: Upper Quadrant Complex

This is the 5th module of the Clinical Manual Therapy Program with Osteopathy Techniques which focuses on Upper Quadrant Complex from 5-7 July 2019. Upper limb disorders are commonly a reflection of the cervico-cranium and neural structural dysfunction. This workshop examines the cervico-cranium complex to upper limb disorders.

Participants will be taught:
-The kinetic link of the cervico-cranium complex to the upper limbs
Manual therapy techniques for the shoulder, elbow and wrist
-Fascia assessment and treatment techniques for the upper limbs
-Neurodynamic and neural membrane assessments and treatment techniques for the upper limbs
-Cranium – fascia assessments and treatment techniques for the cranium and intracranium
-Exercise based therapy for the upper quadrant

Module 5 accreditation is 14.25 points from Dubai Health Authority.

Overview of the Whole Certification Program

For the 1st time since running the course in 2014, MTS will launch the intensive Clinical Manual Therapy Program covering Module 1-3 from 27 September to 5th October 2019 and Module 4-5 and Spinal Articulation Module from 7-12 February 2020 and 14-15 February 2020.

The Clinical Manual Therapy Workshop series which consists of 5 workshops, covering the Lumbopelvic complex, Cranium-Cervical complex, Thoracic-rib complex, lower quadrant and upper quadrant. Participants are encouraged to complete within a 18 -36 months period. Each workshop will run at a 3-6 months interval.

Participants can choose to attend each workshop singularly with a certificate of attendance provided but are encouraged to attend all 5 workshops to fully appreciate how the body works as a unit. They will also be issued a Certificate in Clinical Manual Therapy (CCMT) upon completion of a case study (800- 1000 words) within 3 months after the 5th workshop.

Dr. Chong Ching graduated as a physiotherapist in 1999 and has since been working with clients suffering from neuro-musculoskeletal pain and dysfunctions. Having a strong interest in manual therapy has led him to study different schools of manual therapy and is the first manual physiotherapist with osteopathic qualification in Singapore. The application of osteopathic physiotherapy has allowed him to help sufferers with complex conditions, of which neither physiotherapy nor osteopathy alone can treat as effectively. Dr. Chong Ching owns a successful practice in Singapore and teaches regularly throughout South East Asia.
