The Mulligan Concept is a system of pain free-joint mobilisations to empower the patient in their recovery from musculoskeletal disorders. Founded by Brian Mulligan, the Mulligan Concept is not your standard manual therapy. It utilises ‘Mobilisation with Movement’ in weight-bearing positions and allows the therapist and patient to forge a therapeutic union. The concept encourages immediate results through symptom modification of painful or stiff movement. Three courses are offered: Part A: Upper Quarter, Part B: Lower Quarter and Part C Advanced techniques.Part A and B can be taken in any order, but their completion is a requirement to attend Part C.
Upper Quarter Part A – Cervical Spine, Thoracic spine and upper limb peripheral Joints.
This two-day course presents the Mulligan approach to manual therapy for the Cervical and Thoracic spine as well as for the upper extremity Peripheral joints. It includes lectures and demonstrations to give the participants a thorough and in-depth coverage of the Mobilisation With Movement approach for the upper quarter.
