South African Physiotherapist, Kinesiologist and surfer Douglas Heel is returning to the UK in Dec. 16 Hrs CPD

Courses will be held in Scotland and Dorset.

Doug’s unique approach to movement dysfunction is a game changer for therapist and exercise specialists alike. His reputation for doing things differently opens up a whole new way of looking at the body and has gained him the respect of some of the worlds finest therapists and athletes.

Working through 3 zones we delve into the neurobiology of stress from a musculoskeletal perspective to observe how the body reroutes power in times of exertion, fatigue, stress and injury.

Through acknowledging how stress impacts upon the musculoskeletal system you will have a clearer understanding of why injuries occur in the first place and better still, how to effectively treat them.

Doug will be in Scotland for 4 days, offering Level 1 and Level 2 courses before moving on deliver a further 4 days in Dorset in the South of England.

Level 1 is 2 days..
Working in pairs you will learn how to assess through 3 zones to identify neuromuscular compensation patterns. You will explore release techniques to improve lung function, strength, flexibility, agility, balance, coordination and resilience.

You will learn the effective treatment of tennis and golfers elbow and why some of your patients and athletes are susceptible to non contact ACL injuries, and a clear method of how to correct this.

Level 2 covers, TMJ releases plus pelvis and rib expansion techniques and the mind blowing implications of an impaired visual field.

Douglas’ courses will provide you with a complete assessment and treatment plan for every injury scenario you can imagine. You will leave this course with a clear understanding of how the body really works and what you can do as a therapist to quickly get to the rout of the injury narthex than treating the locality.

This course will provide yiu with tools to become an exceptional and effective practitioner and will inject you with renewed enthusiasm and passion for your work.
