PIM: Physiotherapy Instrument Mobilisation Part 1: Upper Quadrant London  Corrimal Physiotherapy

Physiotherapy Course in London, United Kingdom - England England   Location: London, United Kingdom renew Course Date: May 2017

Physiotherapy Course Summary:
PIM- SAVE YOUR THUMBS! London 13&14 May 2017

Physiotherapy Instrument Mobilisation (PIM) will increase your clinical effectiveness and add a new dimension to your manual expertise. Innovative methods of using these devices have been developed consistent with orthodox articular physiotherapy paradigms, primarily Nordic concave-convex, Combined Movements, Osteopathic upslope/downslope treatment planes and Brian Mulligan’s concepts of Mobilisation with Movement and Positional faults.

As over 400 Australian, UK, Dubai, Malaysian, Singaporean and NZ physiotherapists have found on these courses, these are excellent techniques for the TMJ, SIJ, cervical, radicular pain, A-C, carpal and tarsal joints and much more. An effective substitute for many mobilising & manipulative procedures. Learn how to use these techniques in a multi-domain, multi-system clinical reasoned approach to enhance your clinical outcomes and safety with greater efficiency.

Physios who have done these courses and make PIM one of their main treatment options report exciting clinical outcomes, increased patient (and clinician) satisfaction, referring GP acceptance, practice growth, greater treatment efficiency and an excellent complement to their other clinical management skills, such as exercise, whilst saving their thumbs.

The lecturer is Tim Mann, APA-titled Musculoskeletal (Manipulative) Physiotherapist and accredited Mulligan Concept Teacher with over 30 years of experience with Instrument Mobilising. He is an Australian College of Physiotherapy Musculoskeletal Physiotherapy specialisation candidate and holds a Masters of Manipulative Physiotherapy (University of Sydney) in addition to qualifications in acupuncture. He is an accredited Mulligan Concept teacher of over 10 years standing and has lectured in UK, Australasia and South East Asia.

Comments from previous course participants.

I have a physio team of 12, some are manips trained we all have a very manual and exercise prescription approach to our treatment. We had Tim Mann run an in house PIMs course. We have all benefited from Tim’s teaching and we are all daily using our PIM. We all feel it is a great tool to complement our daily treatment. Our appreciation can be seen in the fact that we have booked a second course for Tim to come and run.

"Evidence-based, great clinical reasoning and appropriateness of treatment modalities using sound biomechanical principles (no voodoo explanations!)"

"Excellent new treatment option, the gun will definitely enhance my techniques and save my hands"

"Very innovative, I don't know why it hasn't been developed before"

"So well prepared, enjoyed a course with good valid studies to back up techniques"

"Theory and practical so relevant, the whole concept is interesting and exciting"

"Some big improvements in ranges of motion over a treatment..."of course". PIM is a great addition to physiotherapy without a doubt."

"All very useful and can't decide which aspect of the course was most helpful. Overall a great course, very well-presented"

"Good balance of theory and practical"

"I don't think you are marketing this course right. "Save your thumbs" sells the concept way too short. This is a beginning of a big step forward in physio and a genuinely exciting addition to the concept and toolbox of manual therapy. Best course since my MSc". Paul, Physio, UK
