Beaches Pelvic Physio is offering an exciting opportunity to join our rapidly expanding clinic located on the beautiful Northern Beaches of Sydney.
Based in Dee Why, nestled in amongst multiple Specialist and GP practices, this clinic offers you a fantastic opportunity to develop your career with a focus on the pelvis.
This is a part-time Pelvic Health Physiotherapist role with 14 hours work available. However, for the right candidate these hours are negotiable. The hours are flexible and there will be opportunity to increase the hours over time if desired.
The caseload includes both internal pelvic dysfunctions (such as incontinence, prolapse and pelvic pain) and external pelvic dysfunctions (including lumbopelvic, hip, groin, tendinopathies) together with peri-natal management (including DRA, post-natal checks, safe return to sport, mastitis). Clientele range from teenagers to 90+yr olds, non-active to sub-elite athletes. We have a satellite clinic within Bump Fitness, a gym for peri-natal women, and work closely with Specialists, Gp's, Midwives, Practice Nurses, Personal Trainers, Coaches, Yoga and Pilates Instructors, Psychologists, Naturopaths and Nutritionists, amongst others, to gain the best possible results for our clients.
Expertise in all these areas of pelvic physio is not expected however, a willingness to learn is. As part of your employment you will be mentored both individually and as part of the team with weekly training sessions. These sessions are not only learning opportunities, but also opportunities to share your expertise with the team and develop your specific areas of interest. We encourage individual growth and use of your specific talents to develop/create new services within the clinic for our clientele. It is expected that you will continue to attend external professional development courses/seminars/conferences and provide a very generous allowance to enable this.
The area of Pelvic Health Physiotherapy is progressing rapidly so it is expected that you will enthusiastically seize these opportunities to continue to develop your skills in this specialist area.
The ideal candidate will be an enthusiastic, professional, hard working Physio with excellent communication skills who is registered with AHPRA, has at least 3 years relevant clinical experience, and is passionate about pelvic health.
You must have completed your internal pelvic health training and have been consistently using these skills clinically for at least a year.
You must also have relevant clinical musculoskeletal or sports experience treating the pelvis externally.
The ability to treat men for pelvic health issues will be a significant advantage.
Remuneration is negotiable dependent upon experience.
