We have an opportunity for a Physiotherapist to join their team of staff in the Physiotherapy department.
We have an exciting development opportunity for a physiotherapist to improve their knowledge and skills within the physiotherapy department. Here at BMI Highfield Hospital we have a large number of consultants performing elective surgery from a range of specialities. The successful applicant will gain experience working within our orthopaedic inpatient department. We are committed to on-going professional development to support our staff through lifelong learning and to ensure that we provide the highest quality of care for our patients. Our annual training plan along with our national audit program, peer reviews and clinical reasoning sessions help us to maintain staff fitness to practice, compliance to regulatory requirements and assist in career development.
This is a FULL time role for 37.5 hours a week. The role holder will be required to cover a flexible shift pattern.
Applicants should meet the following criteria:
Ortho Inpatient experience desirable but not essential.
Member of the Chartered Society of Physiotherapy (CSP).
Registered with the Health and Care Professions Council (HCPC).
Knowledge of CSP and HCPC Codes and guidelines and their implications for practice.
Knowledge of the Care Standards Act and Care and Quality Commission Requirements
Chartered Physiotherapist with previous postgraduate general physiotherapy experience.
Excellent communication skills.
Motivated, enthusiastic and driven to succeed.
Good team player.
Strong interpersonal skills, able to communicate clearly with a range of people at differing levels across the hospital, deploying a range of techniques to do this effectively.
Duties of this role include:
To manage a clinical caseload, providing physiotherapy assessment and treatment to the highest standard, ensuring excellent patient care at all times.
Provide physiotherapy assessment and treatment for relevant departments participating in these patients’ pre-admission and follow-up care as appropriate.
To take an active role in supporting the implementation of national developments locally.
To ensure the department maintains BMI Physiotherapy accreditation.
Keep abreast of developments in physiotherapy by attending relevant courses and maintaining an up to date personal portfolio.
