Physiotherapist Band 6/7 - MSK

We are an extremely busy and rapidly growing sports and musculoskeletal clinic, requiring an enthusiastic and dynamic physiotherapist to come and join us.
We treat a variety of adult and paediatric musculoskeletal and orthopaedic conditions, so a sound knowledge of exercise therapy and rehabilitation would be an advantage. We have excellent links with local GP’s, consultants, gyms, sports centres and strength and conditioning coaches, so an ability to communicate at all levels and gain rapport with other health professionals is required.

We are looking to recruit an experienced Band 6/7 musculoskeletal Physiotherapist for our clinic in Hinckley, close to the Leicestershire/Warwickshire border. Initially on a part time basis, happy to consider contractual or self employed status.

Duties and Responsibilities Band 6/7
Clinical:
• To provide an excellent standard of musculoskeletal physiotherapy treatment and assessment
• To provide advice to patients with a wide range of musculoskeletal conditions and progress their treatment as needed
• To design and implement rehabilitation programmes to promote recovery from their musculoskeletal conditions, progressing to an advanced level of rehabilitation, depending on the patient’s lifestyle and sporting requirements
• Evaluate patient progress, reassess and refer to appropriate professionals as required
• Ensure that appropriate standards are maintained, meeting the advice from the CSP, HCPC and ICO, as regards patient care information, data handling and codes of professional conduct
• Liaise with the senior physiotherapist where required
• Demonstrate a commitment to ongoing professional development and to maintain a record of such activity in line with recommendations
• Be responsible for organising, planning and prioritising your own caseload and diary management
• Demonstrate high standards of customer service orientation
• Demonstrate high standards of hygiene and housekeeping within the clinical area

Non clinical:
• Liaise with office manager and admin staff as required and partake in office standards training
• Attend, assist and deliver in-service training to the team when required
• Participate in clinical audits, outcome measures and service impact measures relevant to clinical role, to evaluate and identify patient and service needs
• Utilise the IT systems provided to track and record patient interactions, complete and submit service requirements
• Ensure personal mandatory training is up to date and partake in refresher training when required
• Ensure that all policies and legal requirements for Health and Safety are adhered to
• Respect the confidentiality of all matters relating to their employment and other members of staff

Candidate Requirements:
High standards of customer service orientation
Ability to work independently
Ability to prioritise and deal with a varied workload in an effective and timely manner
Confident communicator with the ability to engage effectively with patients, colleagues and other Health Care Professionals, both in writing and verbally
Strong work ethic
Highly motivated


Candidate Qualifications:
1. Physiotherapy degree
2. Member of the CSP and HCPC
3. Minimum of 2 years post graduate training, including musculoskeletal outpatient rotations
4. Taping/strapping knowledge desirable
5. First Aid/CPR
6. Advanced sports management training – desirable
7. Microsoft IT skills desirable (Excel, Word)
8. Previous private practice experience – desirable
