We have an exciting opportunity for an experienced paediatric Physiotherapist to join our dynamic interdisciplinary Allied Health team working within Starship Child Health.
Starship Child Health provides services to children and young people with acute, complex and chronic healthcare needs from throughout New Zealand and the South Pacific. As well as providing secondary services to our local population we have the only paediatric dedicated intensive care unit in New Zealand.
The practice supervisor role includes provision of clinical supervision, professional governance responsibility, support professional development and clinical practice to ensure quality and evidence-based interdisciplinary service delivery. You will carry a clinical caseload while providing day to day coordination and leadership for a team of approximately ten physiotherapists working within an acute inpatient and outpatient paediatric setting.
This key role has both a clinical and leadership component and reports directly to the Allied Health Service Clinical Director in Starship Child Health, making it an ideal opportunity for an experienced clinician wanting to develop their leadership and management capabilities.
The successful candidate need to be a NZ registered Physiotherapist with a current Annual Practicing Certificate with the ability to work autonomously in a bicultural environment and have experience working in an acute paediatric setting. You may have undertaken some post graduate study and you will be an effective team player with strong leadership qualities. You will have had supervisory experience and looking to take that next step into management.
