Physiotherapy Job Summary:
Due to the success of our Neurology and Elderly Rehabilitation department we are pleased to announce an exciting opportunity in the team for a new position as a Senior Physiotherapist.
The Neurology and Elderly Rehabilitation team comprises Physiotherapy, Occupational Therapy, Speech and Language Pathology, Nutrition, Mental Health and wellbeing and Medical team support. This helps us provide multidisciplinary home care and clinic based rehabilitation services.
We are looking for candidates with specific experience working within the area of neurological rehabilitation. The applicant should show enthusiasm for supporting people with their rehabilitation, with the ability to work on their own initiative as well as within a close team. They should have experience independently managing a caseload of complex patients and also experience in supporting junior members of staff in their ongoing professional development. Previous experience of working with people who have a neurological diagnosis is essential, preferably in an outpatient rehabilitation environment. The service covers 6 days, so the successful candidate may be required to participate in weekend working. The service works in clinic and also out in the community, candidates should be agreeable to work in the community within the homes of patients and also within hospital settings to offer in-reach advice and rehabilitation to inpatients.
The key responsibilities of the position will be to work closely with the rehabilitation team to support patients with their rehabilitation goals. This will involve supervising and advising the wider physiotherapy team on the care and management of their own caseload.
-Experience working with people who have a neurological diagnosis
-Experience working with an elderly population in a rehabilitation setting
-Good English language both written and spoken
-Good oral and written communication skills, computer and keyboard skills
-Ability to communicate complex messages to patients with impaired communication abilities
-Able to demonstrate excellence in customer Service
-Good organizational skills with the ability to solve problems
-Ability to work on own initiative and to manage independent caseload of potentially complex patients
-Able to work as part of a wider multidisciplinary team
-Experience supervising physiotherapy students
-Has driving license and access to vehicle
-Be current resident in Kuwait
