Physiotherapy Job Summary:
City North Physiotherapy Clinic is seeking an experienced musculoskeletal physiotherapist with Pilates training to work in our clinic in North Melbourne.
The clinic has two well-equipped treatment rooms and a small Pilates studio containing a reformer, a tower, a split pedal chair and small equipment. The rooms are shared by two experienced musculoskeletal physiotherapists, a Women's and Men's Health physiotherapist, a Pilates instructor/massage therapist and a psychologist. We treat all general musculoskeletal problems but the main practitioner has a special interest in temporomandibular disorders so we receive referrals of these patients from several sources. We run one-on-one and two-on-one Pilates sessions in the clinic and we would like to develop the Women's Health side of this practice further with pre and postnatal Pilates classes and individual treatment.
The successful candidate will have/be
-AHPRA Registration and Professional Indemnity Insurance
-at least two years experience in private practice
-good manual therapy skills
-the ability to develop individual and group exercise programme
-friendly and welcoming to all clients
-willing to "go the extra mile" for each patient
-able to work autonomously and manage a mixed case load
-comfortable with clerical responsibilities associated with scheduling,
HICAPS, EPC, private and compensable patients
-comfortable taking equipment Pilates lessons and mat classes
-ready to settle into the clinic and develop their own patient load
-Australian Physiotherapy Association Membership is preferred
We have a friendly, welcoming work environment where the clinicians and front desk staff all work as part of the team. The essential sessions are Tuesday, Thursday and Friday afternoons and alternate Saturdays. There is some flexibility for other hours.
The role will provide training in the management of temporomandibular disorders so the physiotherapist can develop confidence in managing these clients.
Remuneration will be based on experience and the employment terms are negotiable. All applicants must have AHPRA Registration and Professional Indemnity Insurance. Australian Physiotherapy Association Membership is preferred.
