We have had numerous physiotherapists with us over time and we are now looking for two more. With the experience of having past physiotherapists it is clear that we have to give as much as we can in terms of mentoring with skills - both personal and professional - and also with business skills. Our aim is develop the person fully, as we would a client we are treating. The balance of life and work is a fine line and we tread it carefully with a 4 day roster and 3 day weekends and excessive professional development in this incredible setting. While the work days are full with clients, shadowing with other physiotherapists and exercise physiologists in our state of the art gym and professional study, we also pride ourselves on our lifestyle outside of work.
A rural position like ours allows more range of practice and freedom in living than a city practice. From vestibular, neurological and musculoskeletal, it is very generalist and you will see everything. Our aim of practice is from pain to performance, not just the old school treatment of pain to no pain.
