Physiotherapy Course Summary:
Getting a Grip on Wrist & Hand Assessement & Treatment
Date: June 11th 2017
Tutor: Melissa Calcraft
Location: Bristol BRI Physiotherapy Dept
All bookings via www.southwestphysio.co.uk
This course has been developed with an understanding that not all therapists have the chance to work in a dedicated hand centre but will still assess and treat the wrist and hand on a regular basis
It is suitable for Musculoskeletal Therapists who do not have specialist hand therapy experience. It covers anatomy, biomechanics and radiology; assessment and special tests for a wide range of wrist conditions (fractures, OA, tendinopathy, joints and peripheral neurology.
The course will also look at appropriate rehabilitation and treatment for common disorders.
The day is highly practical and you can expect to be hands on (sorry for the pun) for most of the day.
The program is structured as below but flexible enough to allow you to explore your own understanding and Melissa positively encourages your questions and discussion throughout the day.
