Physiotherapy Course Summary:
Learn the manual techniques Barbara Hungerford has developed for releasing muscles, fascia, and neuro-fascial structures in this 1 day course. Myo-fascial releases are applied to the thoracic cage & lumbar spine, pelvis, hip and lower limb. These techniques have evolved from Barb's clinicalexperience and her special interest in how to help patients rehab from severe spine and pelvic injuries towards renewed functional capacity. The course incorporates releasing a variety of tissues at different levels to ease pain, tension, and improve the capacity for lumbo-pelvic stability and is taught by Barb Hungerford & Liz Noad.
1. review anatomy of the muscles, fascia, of the thoracic cage, lumbar spine, pelvis, hip and lower limb
2.Integrate myo-fascial, neuro-fascial, viscero-ligament techniques into treatment for thoracic, low back,pelvic, hip and lower limb disorders
3.Provide practical sessions to teach release the fascia and muscles of the lumbar spine, Release muscles, fascia, ligaments and neural tissue in the pelvis and hip, and lower limb and present techniques for decompression of tissue affecting the nerve root and disc material.
