Physiotherapy Course Summary:
The Unite Health Introduction to Yoga course provides Physiotherapists and other rehabilitation professionals with the fundamental knowledge to begin teaching safe and effective yoga based movements.
The skills developed in this course are designed to compliment existing rehabilitation programs or to be offered as classes or one on one sessions for clients wanting to explore the benefits of Yoga in a safe environment. Linking to relevant clinical research, this course will provide an evidence based approach to teaching Yoga for rehabilitation.
Introduction to Yoga covers a variety of beginner level poses and techniques which will facilitate postural education, correct movement patterning, body/breath awareness as well as helping clients find alignment in their bodies.
Designed by Australian physiotherapist, Irene Ais for physiotherapists and rehabilitation professionals, the Unite Health Yoga Method presents the most recent research relevant to Yoga and teaches a realistic, safe and effective framework of Yoga exercises for rehabilitation and therapy.
This course will also provide the skills for skilful physical and verbal pose adjustments and how to increase teaching skills for leading classes.
