This will include your name, a phone contact, if you are a private practitioner or working on behalf of a recruitment company and your email address. Applying for a job or course through Physiobob.com

To enable us to process your enquiry we will collect basic personal information. This will include your name, gender, country of origin, which country you studied in and your email address. You also have an option to provide a phone contact and upload a c.v/resume for the person to whom you are applying.

Creating a Physiobob.com membership account

We will collect basic contact information about you to set up your account you so you can make contact candidates. This will include your name, gender, country of origin, if you are a private practitioner or working on behalf of a recruitment company and your email address. We will also ask you to register a password so you can gain secure access to your account in the future.

Creating a candidate profile on Physiobob.com

We will collect basic contact information about you to set up your candidate profile to allow members who might have a relevant employment opportunity to make contact with you. This will include your name, gender, country and year of undergraduate eduction, the country/s in which you have professional registration to work, your main country/s of interest for employment, a brief c.v/resume summary and your email address. We will also ask you to register a unique username and password so you can gain secure access to your account in the future.

Information about others (Recruiters posting information on behalf of third parties)

You must ensure that any third party is happy and have agreed to you providing us with their information. Where required by local laws, we would advise you to keep a record of their agreement and provide them with a copy of, or link to, this Policy.

You should also only contact individuals via Physiobob.com who you know would be happy to hear from you and must not use our services to send unsolicited 'spam' messages.

How we use personal information

We use the personal information collected from users for a number of purposes:

  • providing users with physiotherapy related news stories, job and course updates, direct physiotherapy related email campaigns, events or other Physiobob.com services such as the Physio Forum or BobsFlatMates pages;
  • providing users with information on how others are using our website, including: Statistics on the number of listing views, anonymised site behaviour insight via our Zeitgeist page.
  • to help us prevent fraud associated with online interactions;
  • providing information to employers to let them know about candidate applications and enquiries made for their listing;
  • providing information to candidates to let them know about potential employer enquiries made about their job profiles;
  • allowing employers and candidates who are registered with us to have visibility of the contact enquiries made to them so they can track the total enquires, specific messages and contact information in order to establish a dialogue between the two parties;
  • providing service update emails regarding the Physiobob.com service and your specific account;
  • improving the service we offer - for example you may be asked to complete one of our online user satisfaction surveys: and
  • candidates have the option to decide if they are interested in their profile to appear publicly on the site, in email campaigns we send about weekly job listings, whether they wish to be sent announcements about jobs or course events that might fit their profile. We will only send such information where permission has been given on the candidates profile page.

We do not provide any personal information to any third parties, except for that required to facilitate the direct application or enquiry about employment and course events listing on our website. For example this would include storing some contact information such as name and email on a third party email distribution service such as Mailchimp.

We do not sell any of your data or personal information to any third parties.

We will only use your information where we have obtained appropriate permissions from you (e.g. with tick boxes) and will only use the information in accordance with this Policy, or where it is required and authorised by law.

Communications from us

Physiobobs Jobs Limited and it's affiliate businesses (including Physiobase.com Limited & The Physio Shop Limited) may from time to time communicate with our members offering information about third party products and services. This however is an in-house direct communication channel and no member information has been passed on to any third party. All members have the right to be removed from our mailing service by replying to any education or promotional material using the remove or unsubscribe options attached to all correspondence.

When you list or apply for a job or course on our website your name and email address will be added to our internal mailing lists, the general mailing list used to send you the weekly email updates or latest jobs and courses, and other segmented email lists that are used to provide information specific information to those users. e.g. We maintain an applicants list, an employers list, a candidates list and a members list. You can unsubscribe from these lists at anytime using the unsubscribe link contained at the bottom of any email contact that we send.

Where you have indicated you would like to receive updates we may send marketing in the form of email alerts and bulletins to tell you about developments in the services available through our website, together with tips, news stories and third party marketing of goods and services that we deem of relevant interest to our users.

Where you have indicated that you would like to receive direct marketing communications from us, we will use your personal preferences which you have told us about, which we have derived from Cookies (see our Cookies Policy) and/or which we have inferred from your service usage or market research.
