h1 advice

hi,
i am confused at the point that after getting my ATT(authorization to test) from a state i should go to US to give the exam.
BUT i am confused that if i have an employer/jobletter then i'll 've to apply for h1 visa or else?
HCMI a recruiting agency says that one has to go to US on a visiting visa to give the NPTE after recieving the ATT. and then come back to INDIA (my home country) after that they'll arrange an employer for me and only then will proceed with H1 visa formalities.
i am planning to do all the work by myself and even can arrange a job thru personal links.

BUT I WAS WONDERING IF WE'VE TO GO US TWICE
OR
WITH ATT IN HAND & AN EMPLOYER/JOBLETTER WE CAN APPLY DIRECTLY FOR H1 VISA

PLZ DO ADVICE
REGARDS
SUMIT

Re: h1 advice

Hai Sumit

H1 is the work permit if you have employer here saying that your going to work with him then very well u can go ahead and do all by urself otherwise you need to go to us for exam once go back clear all the paper work for H1 after that you can come into us as an employee but otherwise only go is to come here is visiting visa but tell why do u think you have to come to us for just an exam i heard that you can take up the exam in Guam close to india.
anyway if your coming to us in visiting visa its not tough to get but lots of money......... anyway all the best. need any other information i would be glad to help iam working on my H1 now.

Re: h1 advice

hi sarahkadari,
thanx for ur reply.as for now NPTE is not held in guam, its held only in the mainland.
actually i know someone in MI who can sponser me and imm least interested in a visit visa coz money is a constrain for me.
tat's why i wanted to confirm if i can apply directly for H1 with just ATT.
i am also not able to locate any agency to sponser me with just ATT, they all demand licenced PTs. if you know any such agency plz tell me.....!!!!
(OR would you advice me do things by myself)

thanks
god bless

Hai sumit
Iam sorry i tried all means over here but coudnt find any such people however it is possible for them to sponser even with ATT but they dont simply do iam still on search trust me just keep going step by step its shorter than any sponser just get the npte done and u dont need any one after that thats all i could say MI allows u to get in then do it. Anthying i could help in this regard i will sure let u know.
May GOD Bless ur heart desire

Re: h1 advice

hi sarah,
thanks again for the info.
i know its difficult to find an employer with just ATT. but by giving a shot this way i want to avoid a trip to US just for giving the NPTE.

Re: h1 advice

hi sarahkadari,

I am aakansha and have completed by BPT from India, Hyderabad NTR University and I am presently in US on a dependent visa. I have started the FCCPT application process for the state of OHIO and have some doubts. I would really appreciate if you could help me clarify them.

1.For FCCPT what type of category do i come under type I, type II or type III).

2.. What is the licensing authority in India for PT. Is it the institution itself or is there any other authority which gives the license for PT.

3. Do I need to study for TOEFL/TSE/Twe.

Thanks
aakansha
