There actually is a job going on PhysioBob's Jobs in Whistler for this coming season. Why not take a look there and ask directly?

Talking Been there!

Hi there - I am Kiwi PT who worked in BC for a year. You are wrong in assuming that you can get away without the darn exams for 15 months in BC. This was the case in the good old days, but now they are very strict. Basically, you cannot get a work visa without first gaining registration with the BC College of Physiotherapists (this is after a job offer and the appropriate paperwork forwarded to the labour department via your propestive employer). And you can't get registered with the college until you provide a receipt saying that you have paid 50% of your exam fees and are enlisted in the closest one to your arrival date. And then, of course you can't do this until your degree is fully credentialled via the Canadian Alliance (your first step in the whole procedure before job searching I think). The credentialling can take about 3-6 months I remember, again reliant on how quickly your university forwards the appropriate material through. Confusing huh???? It is really very expensive and the exams (written and practical) are fairly mean. But it IS worth it!
With regards to work..... Everyone wants to work in Whistler, because it is an hour north of Vancouver. However, in my opinion, you have not seen Canada till you venture much further north where they are positively desperate for workers and where it is easier to get the labour department to approve your stay. Also, most small towns have a ski resort attached to them with the most incredible powder snow! My favourite is Smithers - the most beautiful town of population 6000, and incredible skiing in the mountain behind the town. You can basically email straight to any of these Physio's (in any of the towns) and ask them if they need you as the peak season for Physiotherapy treatment seems to be Winter in Canada.....
Hope this makes some sense!
Good luck!
