Differences in salary across the country

Hi Everyone,
I was just wondering if anyone knew in general the pay per hour working at private practice clinics in bigger cities such as Toronto, the Vancouver area, Victoria and Calgary. Or any information they have heard. I know in general that at most hospitals you can be looking to make 30/hr across the country.

However I have also heard that in places like Calgary they have a policy of charging per 10 minutes so in the end salaries tend to be higher like around 50 hr. I was wondering if anyone knows what a physio can expect to make an hr working in the mentioned various cities in private practice. Also for those physio's that are currently practicing I was wondering how you feel the job market is. Thanks

Re: Differences in salary across the country

In Alberta, the rate for PTs in the hospital is around $28/hr max. In PP it varies based on how many patients you see per hour and how much that particular clinic charges their patients. Usually the going percentage is around 40-44% for new grads. Lifemark and CBI will usually offer new PTs the option of salary to being with (around the $28-30/hr range) and then switch to percentage when their caseload increases.
