Irish Physiotherapist seeking mentor in australia

Hi
I have just completed a 3 year BSc Honours in Physiotherapy in the UK. I am planning to go to australia on a one year working travel visa initially and then if things work out stay indefinately. I would love the opportunity to work for a minimum of 3 months as a physiotherapist and am seeking a mentor for this time. As a newly qualified physio and with the very poor job situation in Ireland and the UK at the moment I have no post graduate experience, will this be a major problem? I would appreciate any advice in this area...particularly anyone who has gone through this process.
