Re: Arnica Montana

Hi Craig,

Yes creams made from arnica are usually working really good with swells, bruisses and inflamatory processes.

But you can also try creams with the base of chessnot (hyppocastany) or gavez gel (Symphytum officinale). Or if you prefer chemistry, you can try it with creams or gel with heparin base. All these products are working really good but it's also individual what is going to work better on someone.

If you are treatng yourself by massaging or rubbing in the creams, I suggest you to put the gloves on (examination gloves) so you are sure that the cream you are rubbing goes to your aimed place, not your hands.

And you can also make a coat of it. You can mix few creams (2-3), apply it on wider area where the problem is and put a thin layer of cotton over it and fix it with some elastic bandage. Bandage can have a bit pressure in order more thighter down and as you go up you are putting lighter and lighter so you are directng the swell towards up, not down. You can leave that for about 6 hours but if you feel some burning effect then you should take it off because then most probably your skin is getting damaged. Don't put any plastic over it because you can make your skin burn because some of those creams are having small amount of alcohol.

I also heard but I didn't try in my practice that you can put laxative oil on your affected area and make a coat with plastic peace of thing that you are using for wrapping the meat in (I don't know the english word for it, it's really common thing in kitchens).

Hope I helped you a bit.

Good luck
