Dynamic Knee Brace

Hi there guys. I have a young female athlete who has suffered a partial neurological injury to her lower limbs. As a result she has been left with grade 4 quads bilaterally.

I would like to continue to rehabilitate her to be able to play tennis and also to ski with some level of confidence. I am looking for a knee brace that has some type of dynamic hinge componentry. I would like to find something that controls the rate of knee flexion (eccentric quads assistance) and perhaps also give some support to the extension moment from a flexed position (e.g. standing up).

Can anyone suggest any such device, brand, website link?

Many thanks 8o

Hi!

I don't know of any specifically but if you try to get in contact with the Moorong Spinal Unit in Ryde, they might be able to help you (Royal Rehabilitation Centre Sydney - Yellow Pages Link )

Hope this helps!
