Unhappy broken leg problems

Hi, I broke my leg playing football in the UK last April '06 and have been trying to recover and return to playing since. I broke my left tibia (mid-shaft) and have had a plate and screws inserted. I had some post-surgery complications with an infected wound (where the lower screw was inserted) and have been building my leg up at the gym and now doing some light jogging.
I do get some really sharp pain and find it hard to continue running after approx 10mins on the treadmill as I get a dull pain and a feeling of pressure building up in the leg. I have heard about compression etc but wondered if anyone had any experiences they could share or advice would be great. It's very frustrating as I just do not know how to take the next step to playing again. Thanks very much.

Re: broken leg problems

I think you see a vascular specialist and get the pressures measured in the leg while you are exercising or try IMS (dry needling acupunture). Marj
