What medium do you guys use for massage?Another experienced physio in the football club i'm at said he uses cooking oil with about a fifth of liniment. I'm looking for something for use pre-game for rub downs on hamstrings etc. what do you think or use?

Re: what do you use for massage?

Laura01,

At our clinic and football club we tend to use sorbaline (which is water soluable) and easy to use as it absorbs into the skin. Looks after you and your patients clothes. The technique that you are doing is more inprotant.

Enjoy

Re: what do you use for massage?

grape seed oil! It's really cheap and works really well

or you could go for the more pricey physio type massage oils- I like the physio sport oil but its not so easy to get these days
