re: PCl reconstruction

The principles are the same as for ACL reconstructions with the obvious exception that the open kinetic chain activities to avoid are hamstring curl type exercises. The rest is the same i.e. push for early full knee extension & as long as swelling & pain are not limiting factors utilise the usual close kinetic chain stuff to regain strength & control. PCL reconstructions are usually slow to regain full flexion. Again if pain & swelling are not significant any physiological flexion mobs should work but care should be taken to counter any posterior sag with a counter PA force.
