injury of sinus tarsi

re: injury of sinus tarsi

sinus tarsi is an injury that occurs in the mid foot. the cause is idiopathic . however a precipating factor is impact injury eg. fast bowlers on the landing foot. the cervical ligament can be thickened.

rx: cortico steroid injection into the sinus
friciton massage to cervical ligament

re: injury of sinus tarsi

Sinus tarsitis is caused by poor functional foot mechanics. Referral to a Podiatrist who specialises in biomechanics and prescription casted functional foot orthoses will cure the cause of the problem
