Recruitment pattern of Knee musculature

Hi, I am a student and I'm researching material re: differences in recruitment patterns of muscles in the knee in male and female athletes focusing on ACL injuries, for my dissertation. Can anyone help with any research he/she performed? Thanks!

re: Recruitment pattern of Knee musculature

A useful book to look at would be "Gait in Rehabilitation" edited by Gary L. Smidt and published by Churchill Livingstone. It has a lot of emg information. Also a book called Knee Ligament Rehabilitation edited by obert P. Engle also published by Churchill Livingstone. this ais a great book I came across in Canada in the mid 90's and covers all aspects of knee rehab. cheers
