Strengthen my side bits

OK, I am trying to get my legs fit after 38 ops and my major problem is that I have had a patellaectomy (L) and will have one on my R soon.

I want to strengthen the muscles that surround the knee joints and up and below - What exercises can you give me to do in the gym??

Cheers

Nick

Re: Strengthen my side bits

Side bits??? You mean your quadriceps? If you have had loads of knee ops I guess you may have seen a physio during this time and had exercise regimes suitable for rehabilitation. If another op is coming up I guess you are not in brilliant (knee) shape and maybe you should consult a suitable physio near you about suitable exercises. These exercises should be carefully chosen for the state of your knee(s) at present so they don't make things worse. It's rather difficult online to tell just what state you are in I'm afraid.

Re: Strengthen my side bits

Hi Judith - Side bits - It's a technical term

I have to wait 6 weeks to see a physio about my knees and that's why I thought I'd do something now to get me started

Cheers

Nick
