Japan’s ‘Golden Bolt’ Challenges Superstar To Race At 103 Years Old

He may be nearing its 104th birthday, but that has not stopped the Japanese sprint sensation Hidekichi Miyazaki throw down the gauntlet to Olympic champion Usain Bolt six times.

Miyazaki, who insists he can work until 108, holds the world record for 100 meters with an impressive century-old clock 29.83 seconds.

"I love to race Bolt", Miyazaki, who is nicknamed 'Golden Bolt, told AFP. "I'm keeping the dream alive I try to stay in better shape and stay disciplined and healthy that’s important for everyone -... Including Usain Bolt".

Miyazaki 100m is still better Bolt world record of 9.58 seconds, but surely a compromise could be reached where, for example, are 100m and 300m respectively (Bolt's 300m record of 30.97).
Interestingly, Miyazaki running only took 92 years of age, after seeing an older woman who competes in the shot put on television. Given that only had 11 years in the sport, your ultimate goal is to continue in athletics and set the world record in the category of 105 to 109 in a couple of years.
"That's what I'm training for," Miyazaki said. "It's my birthday next month, and that's my next goal. Can run for another five years."

While impressive individual doublet Bolt in the Olympic Games in Beijing in 2008 was mainly driven by the chicken nuggets, Miyazaki must fight their eating habits every day to stay in perfect condition.

"When I eat, chew each bite 30 times before swallowing," he said. "That makes my tummy happy and helps my career. And I like my tangerine jam every day."

Ensure career with Jamaican sprinter is nothing easy feat given chase Bolt for athletics immortality disgust by a heavy schedule race and propensity for injury concern, but hopefully will start a campaign to secure the head to head happens.

And does not look as if Miyazaki is content to finish second, announcing Bolt: "Let's Rumble".

Usain Bolt Wins 100m Sprint And Confirms He Will Be Returning For 2016 Olympic Games

Usain Bolt ran his first 100m race in 2014 Leme Beach in Rio de Janeiro and promised to return for 2016 Olympics.

The Jamaican Superstar won in a time of 10.6sec although Bolt had predicted a sub-10sec time when he faces the press on Friday.

Mark Lewis Francis of Great Britain (10.42sec) and Jefferson Liberato Brazil (10.44sec) shared the podium with bolt after a season of injuries hit, ran his first 100m in Brussels in September last year when he won 9.80 sec.
