Re: masters

What do you want to do it in??

I would suggest for musculoskeletal, you should have good outpatients or private practice experience and evidence of continuing education.

As for other areas, i am not sure.

If you are interested in Musculoskeletal, please be sure to be up to date on your manual therapy skills as you will find it very difficult to keep up if your knowledge is out-of-date.

You should also feel free to contact the programme coordinators of the universities who will no doubt be able to guide you further.

What experience do you have?

Re: masters

My friend, i would be happy to help in whatever limited way i could but you would first have to jump thru the AECOP (or whatever they are called) exams. Secondly, i am not set up to take new graduates as my practice is specialised and we do not see enough simple general injuries to have a new grad - we take quite complex cases here

However, if you are willing to practice outside the major cities, there is always a lack of physios out in the countryside....

Your first step is to learn how to get into the country to practice as a physio. I am sorry but i haven't even heard of Ajman before - i just googled it - it is UAE yes?

I am unsure of the recognition of your degree here.

You have much work to d my friend. Good luck

I truly wish you good luck on your quest.

I hope you do not take my comments as discouragement but rather stating the way things are - as unfair as they can seem.

HOnestly, if you can commit to country work, this MAY be looked upon favourably - i am not linked with any agency that can confirm this however. It is just my guess.

Good luck!

Re: masters

What is the reason why the clinicals appear to be poor?

1. Lack of patients to see
2. Lack of adequate supervision
3. Lack of information/further education
4. Any other reasons?

Also, what are the terms of your internship

- do you HAVE to do it to get registered and finish your course?
- do you have clinical practice throughout your studies or only during your internship?

You might want to try find out where your qualifications are mutually recognised so you can go there. And don't forget about New Zealand where Brian Mulligan is from!

Lastly, i appreciate your passion and concern - don't lose it!

Re: masters

hello am pleased to receive ur reply..well my clinicals skills are poor due to all the reasons u've mentioned earlier especially lack of patients But we do have clinicals hours weekly
As per our Bachelors program after our final studies we got to do an Internship program whch is of 6 month duration so we can do in any country we wish so i am opting for Australia so tht i will continue with my masters later.
