NPTE - New Test Contents (2008)

In addition to areas like research, therapeutic modalities etc., NPTE new content also focuses on clinical application of foundational sciences, differential diagnosis, and prognosis.

Book that I would recommend for preparing this content area would be Differential Diagnosis for Physical Therapists: Screening for Referral (Paperback) by Catherine C. Goodman (Author), Teresa Kelly Snyder (Author)

Table of Contents
1 Introduction to Differential Screening in Physical Therapy
2 Introduction to the Interviewing Process
3 Overview of Cardiovascular Signs and Symptoms
4 Overview of Pulmonary Signs and Symptoms
5 Overview of Hematologic Signs and Symptoms
6 Overview of Gastrointestinal Signs and Symptoms
7 Overview of Renal and Urologic Signs and Symptoms
8 Overview of Hepatic and Biliary Signs and Symptoms
9 Overview of Endocrine and Metabolic Signs and Symptoms
10 Overview of Oncologic Signs and Symptoms
11 Overview of Immunologic Signs and Symptoms
12 Systemic Origins of Musculoskeletal Pain
