Working in New York, USA

Hi
I wonder if any UK trained therapists have been through the process of sitting exams and applying for a visa to work as a physiotherapist in the USA.

I am planning on moving to New York later this year and therefore if anyone can offer any advice / help I would be really grateful.

Thanks

Tara

Re: Working in New York, USA

Hi

Thanks so much for your reply. I am currently having documents sent from my university (there has been a huge delay) - I would be really grateful if you could tell me exactly what you sent document-wise from your university so that I can avoid having to keep re-contacting them to send more information as it seems to be a really long process for them to access my information.

I have looked on the USA website for working in New York but any additional advice that might save me time in the long run would be great. Thanks again and good luck with your application.

Tara

Re: Working in New York, USA

Hi Tara, I am intending on moving to NY early next year and was just hoping you could give me some info as to whether you went through an agency or organised things yourself. I am unsure as to whether i can apply for Jobs before i have sat the exam in NY. Would really appreciate your advice and what agency you went through. I am currently registered in Melb, Aust, and have been working for 3 years. Good luck with your application!
Caz
