re: Working in USA

hello Allison, I work in the USA. Right now work is tight for foreign therapists until Congress changes the Medicare reimbursement policy again (not in the near future). To be licensed you need to pass the National Board exams (a 4 hour/200 lengthy questions multiple-choice exam), have your qualifications evaluated for equivalency etc. Each State has its own specific requirements depending on whom they want to exclude. For qualifications equivalence you need at least either two Bachelors degrees or a Masters or higher. I had two Bachelors degrees. There are several Travel Corporations on the Web. Your best best is to download the website for "PT Bulletin" and go from there. Another site is "Online PT". Alternatively "Medhunters".
Good luck and go get 'em !

re: Working in USA

One the physioworld headlines on the homepage and in the physio news archive in the physiolibrary there is information on the registering boards for each state, a few example example questions and a link to the relevant website in the US for up to date infomation. It's great to see the support you guys working in the USA are giving here in the forums.
